W4 Shortening and other shortening questions..
To make my favorite frosting for cookies, I use W4 Shortening. What the heck is it? Is it different than Crisco. I typically know what goes in my body. But, when I went back to my childhood bakery and asked for frosting recipe, they sold me a tub of W4 frosting and said it was non negotiable. It was only $5, so who cares, but are there different levels or types of shortenings (W2, for example? W7?)
Can I use the W4 for other things beside frosting? I hope it's not a uni-tasker
