Seafood Lunch in Oakland or Berkeley?
So a friend stumped me by asking "where can i get lobster for lunch in the East Bay...and not Spenger's".
I have no clue and searched the boards. Any clue? It's the perfect chowhound question.
Sea Salt?
Thanks!

Tachibana on College near Chabot is open for lunch during the week and they have a really delicious grilled lobster tail for $12.95. It's small but again, it's $12.95. Call and ask. They often have other fish on the menu, like soft-shell crab and, of course, sushi. Open for dinner Sat and Sun.
I've had the lobster tail at Sea Salt but for the price I didn't feel the amount of lobster or flavor punch was there--not that it wasn't a good lobster roll, but I'd only really want it if I was having lobster often and didn't mind buttery very delicate steamed lobster for $25.

Your first idea, Sea Salt, is the best. The other places suggested so far are pretty corporate, big and boring. Unless your friend really just wants to eat a plain lobster, in which case I guess Scott's is what you want. Not that many non-corporate places in the East Bay offer lobster since it's not a local thing. Chinese restaurants maybe?
