Interactive Dining

What are some of your favorite interactive dining experiences? Looking to go with a relatively large group to celebrate a birthday. By "interactive," I mean places like Ninja (Ninja tricks, etc.), Gyu-kaku (You cook your own meal, basically), places with Belly Dancing...any more fun places?

I like to eats.

  1. I'm not a big fan of Artisanal, but lots of Hounds like it, and fondue is fun to do with a group.

Agreed...fondue is a great interactive dining idea. I think tapas/small plates restaurants are, as well.

In line with the tapas/small plates concept, another group-friendly idea is sharing mezzes at Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese restaurants.

    2. Bann Korean. Grilling tables can be fun. The fondue is a good choice also (and personally I REALLY like Artisinal).

Looks like Artisinal it is, then. Do you guys have any particular items on the menu that you'd like to suggest?

Do order the gougeres - delicious.

My experiences with the gougeres have been very disappointing. Just one of the reasons that, as I said above, I'm not a fan of Artisanal.

Really - that's too bad - I've pretty much enjoyed everything I've had there over the years - not outstanding cuisine, but good fare. But, the great thing about this board is differing opinions!

fondue, cheesecake, hanger steak frites has always been reliable

Of the fondues we like the Stilton best. Food wise I like the duck.
