Cafe Boulud's lunch/brunch menu?

  • 5

How are the weekday lunch or weekend brunch menus here? Are there any good prix fixe options? Mom is coming to town, so I'm looking for some easy ways to try things we haven't yet.

Also has Le Bernardin gotten rid of its lunch prix fixe? All I see now is a $65 regular lunch menu...

  1. Cafe Boulud is one of our favs. At lunch, they offer a 2-course and a 3-course prix-fixe. Iirc, the 2-course is in the $30's and the 3-course around $40. Choices are limited, and they not taken from the a la carte menu. I don't know if the prix-fixe is offered during brunch. You can see the a la carte menus on the website.

Thanks. I tried the website before I posted and it seems the menu links are all dead, or maybe it's just me.

I'm glad you like it RGR - we're going there next week on our final day in town - looking forward to it.

            Hey, partyplan,

I don't know if you've heard the recent announcement about the departure of Chef de Cuisine Bertrand Chemel. I'm not sure if he's still there; however, Daniel Boulud always staffs his restaurants with a strong team, so even if Chemel has already left, I'm sure the food will still be first-rate.

Note: Acc. to today's "NY Times," the new chef, Gavin Kaysen, who is currently chef de cuisine at El Bizcocho at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, in San Diego, will take over Cafe Boulud's kitchen in December.
