wine bar in theater district
Any suggestions for a place in the theater district where a family group (all adults) can meet on a Saturday afternoon and sit around talking before going to dinner and play. We're not big drinkers, but a nice selection of wines, or a wine tasting would be just right. Nice relaxed atmosphere would be great, but nothing too fancy.

I wanted to say thank you for all the help, and let you know how it went. We went to Casellula and it was wonderful--perfect. There were 5 of us and we just wanted to kill some time before the theater. Casellula was comfortable, friendly, great wine. They made us up a "flight of cheeses" to go with our bottle of wine, and it was very delicious. When we had to leave for the theater we were sorry to go.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far! We're meeting around 4 in the afternoon, so it looks like Casellula, Divine Bar and Becco are out (not open then), although they all look great.

re: Noank Native
Since you're not looking for food, I suggest the Pinnacle bar on the 25th floor of the Times Square Hilton (south side of 42nd between 7th & 8th - where the slightly askew clock is located). It has plenty of comfortable seating, interesting views, reasonable ambience given that it's on their lobby floor, and a decent wine by the glass selection (a bit pricey). They should be open.
