I need to fatten up a friend in SF!

I know few of us have this problem (trying to get fatter!)--but I recently connected with a childhood friend. I'm a super foodie! He's very slender and doesn't seem to eat very much! Now we're a couple! Besides my own cooking what about some places in SF to fatten him up? He says he's picky but scarfs down almost anything that's put in front of him. Suggestions?

Don't forget Schnitzelhaus for beer and schweinehaxen!

I don't exactly understand your question. Are you looking for highly caloric food and need recs? Cheap food so you can order a lot? Healthful options to put on weight in a specific way?
Need specifics or all we can recommend is food...and there's a lot of it in SF.

Maverick- fried chicken dish is delish!
        Slow Club- Hamburger
Little Star Pizza- I wish I could eat more of this
        Brenda's for breakfats
        Ella's for breakfasts

I find most forms of Italian food really put on the pounds without being TOO unhealthy, so...

A16, Delfina, L'Osteria Del Forno, Perbacco, Acquerello

La Ciaccia (sp?), Incanto, Quince by reputation

          Non-Italian?

          Taste of the Himalayas
          Aziza
          NoPa
          Mamacita
          Boulevard
          Chapeau!

Those restaurants are in all different price/formality cagetories, although more are moderate+ (like $18-$24 main courses).

For cheap eats, go to tacquerias. I like Papalote the best but for more traditional burritos try La Tacqueria or Tacqueria Cancun.

Of course you can fatten up at Fleur de Lys (my favorite restaurant in the city, but haven't been for a while), La Folie, The Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton.

Michael Bauer just downgraded Fleur de Lys -- people have complained for years about the service there. If Michael Bauer gets bad service, you know there's no hope for us lesser mortals.

That is SO sad! I hadn't been, as I said, for about 2 years. TRAGIC! ;-)

When I moved away from Lower Haight/Hayes, I lost some serious weight due to not having Il Borgo handy...
