Jaques-Imos website?

My wife and I, plus another couple, are going down to New Orleans the first week in November and I've been doing my dinner research all through these boards. We are going to do Brigtsen's plus K-Pauls where we ate 23 years ago on our honeymoon. Chef Paul and his wife were so gracious that evening that we've always gone back there on our return trips. We've never been lucky enough to catch Chef on our return trips to let him know how memorable he made our first trip to town. Maybe this time. Anyway, I digress. I've never been to Jaques-Imos and it sounded like a fun place to go for a night. I haven't been able to get to the website for the last week or so, and now I see that the NY site is closing soon. Has there been a change at the NO restaurant? Is there a new website that I'm not aware of? Thanks for any help.

I just tried to pull up their website and it worked (but had to press down the Control key on my computer while connecting - don't know if that is my problem or theirs, but it did pull up). The site is www.jacquesimoscafe.com - you can see the menu, map, etc. Hope this helps.

Jaques-Imo's is my husband's favorite restaurant in the city. We're going to Nola again for New Year's (a ritual with us, we go down there 4-5 times per year anyway) and I wanted to show our friends who are coming with us the menu on Jaques-Imo's web site, but they don't have one up. Ridiculous!

Don't know if you have already left for your trip, but we were in New Orleans two weeks ago and ate at Jacques-Imo's on October 19th and LOVED it! We were with friends and ordered appetizers and shared them. Try the alligator sausage cheesecake, the eggplant, the fried green tomatoes with shrimp, the fried grits, and the shrimp. Every entree from carpetbagger steak to jambalaya to catfish with crabmeat dressing - Every one was really tasty. Then they brought out a platter of desserts since we had mentioned that it was one of our friends birthdays. We were very impressed with the total package - the food, the total craziness of the place, the energy and fun atmosphere, the great waitresses - a very good celebration place.

New York location is moving from Upper West Side of Manhattan to Long Island City. Hurrah! Closer to me!

Thanks guys. I figured that was the problem. Glad to know I there's no problem with the restaurant itself.

Looks like someone forgot to renew the domain...

If there is one, I cannot find it. I thought there was one, perhaps it is down. Call and ask a menu to be faxed.
