Stone Crabs in Orlando

Now that it's Stone Crab season, where is the best place to get stone crabs at a decent price in Orlando? We love stone crabs and would love to find a place close by - we live in Dr. Phillips - but we will drive anywhere in the area. I wish Joe's would put in a location up here!

I will be in the UCF campus area for business. Are there any places in this area that we could find stone crabs at a restaurant? We'd like to not drive more than 15 minutes or so.

Moat places that would have stone crab are upscale and I know of no place near UCF that would fit that bill. You might find a place in Winter Park like Beluga that should have them and even possibly Luma on Park Ave, but they are probably going to be at least a 15 min.drive probably more depending on traffic

Thanks. I will look into those two. Any other suggestions? I am familiar with Midnight Blue and Vue. Think there are any places in that area?

I would love to find a restaurant that serves them rather then order them. We have had Joe's ship to our house, and it is very good. I love their mustard sauce.

Thanks for the info on Shula's & Lombardi's! I will definitely check them out.

Where ever you wind up I hear this will be a banner year for Stone Crab, the conditions were supposedly perfect.

Are you looking for retail to take home or to buy at a restaurant. I know Shula's at the Dolphin hotel has them every year and you can also pick them up at Lombardi's to take home an eat yourself. Joe's also ships to your house if you wanna be lazy!
