Ceviche in OC

cdmedici Oct 14, 2007 05:57 PM

We had some pretty mediocre ceviche today. The party at the table next to us recommended Peruvian Kitchen in Fountain Valley. I did hear once that ceviche was invented in Peru. Is the the spot?

Any other recs would be appreciated.

I can recommend Sinaloa (Edinger/Standard) and Mariscos La Sirena (Main St., near 1st st). Both are in Santa Ana.

Good ceviche & both places have pretty big menus (the latter even serves turtle soup on most days).

It's just outside of OC, but try the ceviche at Marquez Mexican restaurant in Norwalk. It's made mostly with shrimp and it's outstanding.

I remember enjoying the ceviche at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach a year or so ago... but, I can't remember the details, just that it was good.

Harbor Grill in Dana Point has an excellent one. Outside of that not so sure.
