Zon's - New Chef?

I had a disappointing meal at Zon's tonight. Makes me wonder if there is a new chef. Does anyone know? We started with chips and dip - usually the homemade chips are delicious and thick cut. Tonight they were thin and soggy. The dip was light in flavor. I then had the spinach salad. The shallots were heavily breaded and tasted old - they are usually so light and crisp and delicious! DC felt her salad was also different than usual. Thoughts?

I wondered the same thing. I always have the magnificent turkey burger, the most tasty and moist one I've ever had. After having this dish about 20 times, I recently had it and it was dry. Disappointing. But I will give it another shot sometime since I live nearby.

I was just going to write in. We were there on Saturday night as well, and were SO disappointed after hearing rave reviews. Everything was bland, terrible and quasi-burnt. The service also left something to be desired for us...our mains took about 45 minutes, after prompting the server to go check on them. We really wanted to like it. I feel better that it wasn't just us.

I know there is a management change. That party is opening a new place in JP.
Perhaps he took the kitchen staff with him?
