Gotta be on 9th between 42nd and 55th every Saturday morning. Lots of places closed. What's to eat?

interesting dilemma. a lot of places don't open until lunch on saturdays in hell's kitchen. eatery and vynl are fine. i find them a bit ho-hum but maybe that's just me. for brunch, i prefer to go over to Tenth Ave to 44&X (corner of 44th and 10th). i find it less greasy/heavy and fresher tasting than eatery and vynl. but it's not open til 11:30 on saturdays.

i agree on amy's bread. yum. they've got this ham and cheese biscuit that will make you want to jump up and down on the street it's so good.

OMG- Sullivan St. Bakery- had 2 slices of the potato pizza, a pomodoro slice and an olive roll for dessert. Everything was great-transported me to Provence. But the warm potato slices with rosemary were incredible! Thanks.

but yeah i always go to amy's for scones, muffins, coffee

Westerly Market for healthy take-out, 54th Street and 8th Ave. Not for traditional breakfast foods, but they do have coffee and healthy sweets.
