New Restaurants in Broward

The Shops At Pemboke Gardens is opening soon. These are some of the restaurants opening at this outdoor mall.

Lime Fresh mexican Grill
RA sushi Bar
Stir Crazy
Brio Tuscan Grille
The Pub
Village Tavern
Brimstone Woodfire Grill

Are any of these good?

  1. I've been to the Stir Crazy at Town Center in Boca - it is pretty good - nothing fancy. Fuddruckers is a hamburger place (which I have not been to in years) but they used to have pretty good hamburgers. And I've been to Brio up in Orlando which is pretty good for a chain - I seem to remember they have great bread.

    1. They also have RA in Palm Beach Gardens. It's good sushi for sure, but I've had better.

Brio is also up in PBG. The original poster may wish to check the chain boards for comments about most of those restaurants he's listed.

Eh..I live 5 minuts away from this place and from what I can see, there's no way this mall is opening in 2 weeks. Construction is FAR from being done.

      2. "Warning about Brimstone Woodfire Grill"

For a restaurant to call themselves "upscale" is a joke.
First, I've never seen so many servers on at once, looking like a bunch of robots trying to find something to do and managers that look tired, unapproachable & stuffy in those ridiculous suits. While eating my balsamic chicken over garlic chive mash potatoes which was bland by the way, I overheard some of the servers talking about how ALL dish ware, silverware, glassware, etc. are washed in recycled dirty water. How disgusting!

Great to know, especially since I ate there yesterday. Was not blown away by the food but the service was solid from top to bottom. Poor drinks, so-so food, inexplicable wine list (mostly cheap "Publix" brands and 3x the markup). I went with someone who had a wholly different experience the previous time. Hopefully we won't return.

I also thought the food was good but the servicewas excellent. Has anyone tried Village Tavern? I didn't like any of their signature cocktails, overly sweet! But good wine list.

We had dinner at the Village Tavern a couple of weeks ago and the food was okay. Husband had the meatloaf, which the server raved about, and said it was "pretty good". I had the salmon (okay), my daughter had the short ribs which she said was decent. The iceberg lettuce wedge had a bland dressing. They do have a good wine list with fair prices. Service started out slow and then became quite good. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
