Bit of a dive, but JT's Grill on 48th and Indian School does a killer BLT, Triple decker with tons o' fresh grilled bacon. Fries are great too, all for 4.95 ,,,
Try it the next time you want to go somewhere no one will recognize you :)

Oh great, thanks for this, I live right in the neighborhood and always forget about this place. I had some friends that occasionally went to their weekly steak dinner throughout the summer, but I couldn't bear the thought of it after hearing their stories.

did I mention that "bit of a dive" is the understatement of the year?

Uncorked in the Scottsdale Promenade (Scottsdale & FLW) has a fabulous "Italian BLT" It's made with thick, crispy pancetta, butter lettuce, good tomatoes and a red pepper mayo puree. It's on a soft ciabatta roll and it is outstanding!!

Does the bacon sandwich at Pane Bianco count? He does occasionally add tomato to it and if not you can always have him add it in (My husband does that) Unfortunately, I do not know what day he makes the bacon sandwich. That's my favorite version of a BLT in Phoenix. I call when they open and see what the market sandwich is

On the menu at Cowboy Ciao in Old Town Scottsdale right now is pork belly sliders. They're basically thick hunks of bacon on mini French rolls w/arugula, aioli, and tomatoes. Holy geez. I'm still dreaming of these.

Hmm.. I'm confused. Harvey's Wineburger is on 16th and Camelback. Are you refering to the Original Wineburger on 19th Ave? Either way, I love BLT's and haven't checked out the Original Wineburger yet.

yeah the one on 19th ave....i was bummed when they were sold about a year ago. yes, they're cleaning it up, but i rather enjoy a dive ;)

For the record, Harvey's on 16th St. doesn't have a BLT; OTOH, the single wine burger @ $4 is still a great old-school burger, and the place is still as divey as ever.

I noticed that this past Sat night, as I stopped by with some friends for inexpensive food and drinks before heading to the fair. As always, the cheese wineburger ($4.40) was good; yes, the place is a complete dive :) Still need to check out the Original wineburger to try both their burgers and the blt!

I do like LGO's because they don't skimp on the bacon and it is very fresh. I've had the BLT twice there and the only thing that bothers me is that the bread is too toasted. By the time I start the 2nd half of the sandwich, the roof of my mouth is starting to get raw. So I've changed my regular BLT order to their veggie sandwich....YUM!
