What is the most expensive restaurant in San Diego?

what about the Skye Room at La Valancia. Ive never been.. but Ive heard it was up there. Today in the paper mentions 50 -60 dollar entrees.....

I'd add Mister A's to the list of possibilities. It's hard to say exactly, because no 2 restaurants have the exact same menu, wine list, etc.

I wouldn't put Mister As in the "as expensive" list of Blanca or Addison

After I typed that, I thought to look at the menus and came back and edited it out, because it turned out not to be as $ as I was remembering. Obviously, the edit didn't work. I hadn't been to Mister A's for quite some time- not since it moved even. Time flies, I really hadn't thought about how long it had actually been.

Dropped 350 (for two) during restuarant week at 1500 ocean. So it has to be near the top of the list. It was worth every penny, best foie in the county IMO.

It has been a while since I went but I think Rainwaters was more expensive than Flemings and Island Prime.

Addison in Del Mar. They are higher than Mille Fleurs, El Bizcocho.

I'd just add Jack's Fine Dining - and Blanca is up there too - with entrees in the $40. range.

Blanca is up there but I think is slightly lower than Addison's. Several companies with limits on how much they can spend for dinner can't go to Addison's b/c it's too high, yet they can do Blanca.

Well, one can only charge so much for a steak or a piece of fish, even if stuffed with truffles and dredged in caviar (sounds like the original Iron Chef -- or Vegas). But if I were looking for the place that could put the biggest kink in my line of credit, it would be someplace with a trophy wine list.

Im going with Addison,although I believe it might be Del mar... but still.. quite the adventure..

although you know when you take Epazote or Flemings and pay for the sides they get right up there too.
