Hi fellow Chowhounders, I'm looking for a relatively high-end ($200 or less for 2 including wine) restaurant for my birthday....the food needs to be absolutely wonderful, and the atmosphere sublime. I love all kinds of cuisine (Indian, Moroccan, French, Italian, Seafood, some Asian and 'American') and especially love dessert! Any part of town is fine, but would prefer downtown area, east or west. Much thanks!

  1. how about Tabla?

    1. I'd head to Pylos for the best Greek food in town...with one of the most beautiful atmospheres in town.

      1. Fleur de Sel serves superb contemporary French cuisine in a small, cozy space with lovely atmospherics. Chef/owner Cyril Renaud's seriously delicious apple crepe -- a signature dish -- remains on the dessert menu; however, there is a new pastry chef, and his creations are truly outstanding! The 3-course prix-fixe is $76. Depending on the wine you order, you should be able to dine very well and stay within your budget.
