Lobster and clams on the Cape in early November

  • 4

Will be visiting the Cape (Orleans) in early November for several days and would really like to enjoy a steamed/boiled lobster for lunch or dinner. Also, some moist fried clams with bellies. I know most if not all of the clam shacks close down early in the fall. Can you suggest a restaurant that would satisfy the cravings of a girl from Dorchester, now a woman living in California? I tried a search on this Board, but can't seem to fine-tune it enough! Willing to drive, perhaps Provincetown? Thanks for your help!

    1. Try the Bookstore, in Wellfleet--about 15/20 minutes away:

Thanks so much. That is exactly the kind of place I'm looking for! We'll be visiting the wildlife sanctuary in Wellfleet, if it's still open and the weather is kind; this will be our lunch that day.
