Help with Crockpot Pork Roast

BigSteve Oct 11, 2007 07:24 AM

At noon today I'm putting a pork loin sirloin roast in the crockpot for a birthday dinner tonight and I need some recipe suggestions...my usual approach of au jus, spices and veggies seems boring today.

The rest of the meal, as requested, is salad, steamed broc and cauliflower, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes.

I only have about 20 minutes to do the crockpot prep.

Some complimentary flavors are ginger, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, onions (sort of a teriyaki taste),

Another is worchestershire, seasoned salt, no salt garlic herb mix, lemon pepper, olive oil, light brown sugar, and apple juice.Miss all, except apple juice, brush on and add juice to bottom of pot. Sweet savory type flavor.

Thanks - you melted my brain freeze!!! The brown sugar idea is just what I was looking for.

"tis the season...try about 1/2 cup cider...tenderizes pork beautifully...

also, some baked pears with olive oil drizzled on them and rosemary are delicious!!!!
