Sushi Specials in Detroit
I was reading this post (http://www.chowhound.com/topics/448423) and it got me thinking: are there any sushi places in metro Day-twah that offer specials on certain days? An all-you-can-eat sushi experience is probably too much to ask for. Though my sushi dining is extremely limited (Noble Fish in Clawson and Sushi Ko in Farmington Hills).
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
Try Godaiko in Ann Arbor, on Ann Arbor-Saline Rd., also location in Novi. Web: http://www.mygodaiko.com (not sure why site features Trinidadian music). They used to have good two-for-one roll specials four days a week. I worked out that way, and we'd eat ourselves silly. Now I don't work there anymore and haven't been for a year or so, so call to check, but it was always good although not Japanese-owned. They also have decent lunch specials with soup, California roll, and entree like teriyaki or katsu, for ridiculously low prices.
re: Jim M
Godaiko does still have the two-for-one specials. They also have daily specials that have 4 or 5 dishes for about $20. We have always had good luck ordering that. While I am sure that there are better places than Godaiko in the area, this has become our favorite, as the service always seems to be good, and we always enjoy our food.
Black Pine Tree in Southgate (my favorite) is 10% sushi on Monday nights, and has all-you-can-eat rolls on Wednesdays. I'd imagine this draws a lot of sushi- and non-sushi-lovers alike.
