Town Hall - MN

I'm going to be in Shakopee this weekend. My main quest is as a beer advocate, which takes me to Town Hall. Since I will be there, is there anything, foodwise, they do particularly well that you would recommend? On the flipside, anything I should avoid?
Any other recs are welcome.
Probably looking at dinner Saturday night, and a lunch Saturday afternoon. The lunch will be strictly for food. Dinners will include local brews.

Just Town Hall twice? Why not spread it out and try Barley John's in New Brighton? The Taste section in the Minneapolis Star Tribune today has an article on brew pubs and micro brews you ought to check out.

If I had to pick just one brew pub in the Twin Cities to go to it would be Barley John's. I've been to every brew pub in the Twin Cities and I would rate their brews the best. I do need to go back. It is just quite a trek for me from the far western suburbs. I had the pizza the last time and it was excellent.

Definitely do not miss Barley John's. Terrific beers and the food isn't too bad either.

I would say the beer and food is better than Town Hall, however, Town Hall almost always has draught cask-conditioned ales, which are very good.

Also, if you have time, take the brewery tour at Surly. Absolutely outstanding local brew.

I'm going to ask for food recs at Town Hall, and Barley John's here, and am going to post on the beer board for beers.
        Thanks all.

There is nothing at Town Hall I would recommend for food. The burgers tasted frozen, the walleye sandwhich wasn't very good. he pulled pork is ok as are the wings.

I've liked the Cobb, burger, and hummus at Barley John's.

I agree, I would never go to Town Hall for the food. I usually get the soft pretzels and black bean burger when I end up there, but it's never a destination.

The J Pizza at Barley Johns is fantastic. My husband also really liked the Burger.

I agree with Foureyes, the food at the Town Hall is not good.

The wings aren't bad. The best meal I had at the Town Hall was all appetizers. I agree with the other posters, the food is fair at best.

I would recommend the Pizza's and the homemade Soups at Barley Johns. Everything I have ever had was well made

I've gotten the nightly specials at Town Hall a couple times, and they tend to be better than their regular menu food.

But it is all bar food. They specialize in beer. They have awesome beer. Eat across the street at the Indian restaurant and order some sort of fish. It is really good. Then head over for the beers.

Nachos with chicken always go down well with a Masala Mama for me
