Local Bacon?

Hi All -
We're looking for good sources of local bacon produced around Boston. Karl's in Saugus is our first choice right now, and Blood Farm in Groton comes in a close second.
Any other venues that you all can recommend in the greater Boston area or exurbs?

In Pork Heaven.

  1. Stillman's Farm has great bacon..available at a lot of local farmer's markets.

    1. We have up to 12 pounds of Blood Farm bacon in our basement freezer at any given time, and we get nervous whenever we're down to our next to last pound, as we are now. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Nor can I. Had some Blood Farm Bacon last night with a thick slice of heirloom tomato on a soft bulkie roll with a little Mayo. In Pork Heaven describes it well!

12 Lbs is an impressive bounty.

      2. The North Country Smokehouse in (or near) Lebanon, NH. It's right across the street from the little airport there. You can get their products at Savenor's or The Fruit Center Marketplace in Milton. Tremendous applewood bacon among many other products.

North Country products are also available at Russo's and Formaggio Kitchen.

Where can one get Blood Farm products?

Sadly, only at Blood Farm, in Groton, about an hour out of town on Route 2A. They're a working slaughterhouse that has a small retail operation on site.

        2. I'm pretty sure Lionettes makes their own bacon.
