Birthday Bash

Looking for a fun place for a birthday bash. Was thinking of Minado 'cause everyone likes sushi and Asian food, but not a must. There will be 4 - 6 or 8 people mostly in their twenties, one old, mmm........ experienced person (myself). Basically family plus some friends. Will take place mid-week. Not looking to break the bank. We like all kinds of cuisines. Was also considering:
Hudson Super Buffet, Vinny's at night, Western Grille for churrasco (any others?) though some in the party are not that big on meat - but I thought there would be enough veggie options. We have had great meals at: Oleanna,Hammerslys , Kaze, La Campagnia, also O Cantinho, Muchecha, Dok Bua, Trattoria Toscana, Daily catch, Carlos Cuccina, Pho Pasteur, Taqueria Mexicana, Il Faro ( sort of an accross the board view). We are adventurous (true chow seekers) and would try something new on a reccomendation. Any ideas? Thanks

How about the West Side Lounge in Cambridge, or Union or Petit Robert in the South End?

West side lounge has piqued my curiosity. I'll research that some more. Thanks
