Cheese Curd? to make mozzarella

I have just experienced making fresh mozzarella and am having a hard time finding fresh milk curd - does anyone have ideas or recommendations? I am going to the farmers market tomorrow to beg there...

Morris county resident, but will travel to get it.

Once you make it fresh, you will never buy it again. AND, it is really easy.

Try some of the stores that make their own mozzarella, they might sell you some curd.

Try posting on the Bronx board and see if anyone knows of a place on Arthur Avenue that sells it. I know that Morton Williams in Hartsdale and Stew Leonard's (Yonkers) makes their own, might be worth a phone call.

Might want to check with Jerry's in Englewood, Bergen County to see if they'll sell you some curds.

Would be a lovely drive up to Massachusetts this weekend to check out the foliage and visit this store:

Lots of great info, supplies, classes, etc.

Actually, looking at their site I'm not sure they do retail anymore ... probably best to call first.

This is a link to the Mozzarella Co. in Texas, they sell Mozz. curd via mail.
        Good luck
