good early morning breakfast near Rittenhouse

I am getting a root canal at 8:30 tomorrow and I'm supposed to have a good meal before since I won't be eating for a good part of the day (and also would like to have a treat before I go). Too early for Reading Terminal (I'm on bike so it doesn't have to be RIGHT in R Sq), but looking for good diner-y, food cart-y, whatever-y breakfast food, like pancakes, waffles, or eggs before 8 am. any suggestions? Can be sit down or not.

thanks

La Va is at 21st and South. They serve burekas which are Isreali pastries filled with different things like feta and spinach or mushrooms and served warm. Very good and filling. Also bagels and lox and different egg dishes. Good coffee, too.

Go to Ants Pants (http://www.antspantscafe.com/) at 22nd and South. Great eggs, french toast, etc. and they open at 7am.
