Dinner for 8...moderate price

I've got relatives in from town ranging in age from 20-70 who want to have a big dinner tomorrow. I need to get them out of Times Sq.

There will probably be 8 people, 1 is a vegetarian, but that can't way too heavily on our choice. We need something that is big and crowd friendly, good food and fairly moderate in price.

Any suggestions?

  1. Why do you have to get away from the Times Square area? There are lots of good restaurant options there. For example, Trattoria Trecolori, on 47th, b/t B'way & 8th, serves well-prepared homestyle Italian fare. As with most Italian restaurants, the menu has vegetarian-friendly options. Service is pleasant and efficient. The space is large with attractive decor and can easily accommodate a group of 8. Prices are moderate.

If you still prefer to leave the Times Square area, please tell us what neighborhood(s) you're thinking of. It would also be helpful to know if you have any particular cuisine(s) in mind.

    1. Crispo (Italian), Katz's Deli (yes, there are veg options at Katz's), Beyoglu (Turkish/Mediterranean)
