looking for restaurant closure/supply/auction info

i'm looking to buy some used restaurant equipment - does anyone know where i can find out what restaurants are closing or where and when auctions for supplies are being held? google search came up with nothing informative.

Drive Washington Blvd from Downtown to Culver City.
You'll see dozens of used restaurant equipment dealers, all kinds of stuff.
CAUTION: stay away from Surfas.

You should pay a visit to Blue Bush on Pico and Arlington. They have tons of used equipment and if you have existing equipment you want to get rid of, they'll pick it up and in some cases exchange equipment.

I used to see listings of closed-restaurant equipment auctions in the LA Times. Don't know if they still do it, however. Maybe no restaurants have closed. . .

The Times used to have a weekly ad section devoted to auctions which included resto equipment, other heavy equipment, and estate type auctions. Don't know if they still run this as after the idiots from the Tribune Company took over and ruined the paper for me, I dropped my subscription.
