I will be assuming you are looking for something other than the usual chain-style product out there (as there is a Pizza Hut within walking distance of the General).
As far as Pizza/Italian Food, you can try Capri on John St. North.

If you really want to try for the heart attack, Chicago Style Pizza Shack does deliver but I am unsure if you are in their delivery area, which covers certain chunks of the city...
As far as wings, Red Rockets (two locations) would be your best bet and offer wing meal specials...

I definately second Chicago Style Pizza, if they don't deliver to the General but you find yourself at Henderson, it's definately in their delivery zone - 905-575-8800.
Another place to try for wings and burgers is O'Neill's "Home of the 1LB Pugger burger". I don't know if their downtown location delivers (the one on Upper Wellington does) so give them a call 905-549-7066.
good luck and good eating

we moved to hamilton from toronto three years ago, and found out about chicago style from friends of ours who regularly drive from toronto (regularly as in, at least monthly) for their chicago style fix. the poster who says it's worth the drive is right. the pizza tastes great cold for breakfast too. i recommend the shack special.

Thanks for all the replies. I got lots of recs for Chicago Style Pizza from various nurses. Too bad they don't deliver to the General.
We ended up ordering from Capri's Ristorante from just down the street. It was fairly decent with a well made crust. Plus they deliver for only $2.50.

Pizza that is not plastic (ie. homemade sauce, good cheese, fresh veg) LEGHORNS Main & Balmoral, BRONZIES (James S. and Young) and I've heard good things about chain restos Pizza Nova (Queenston & Nash) and Toppers (U. James... a bit far out of your range, I think)
Wings at Leghorns are great, with the option of garlic.
