In Napa on New Year's Eve

Hi, we are planning to go to Napa for New Year's Eve this year. Does anyone have any ideas on where to go for dinner/drinking? Thanks!

El Dorado Kitchen for drinks or dinner, nice atmosphere, great outdoor lounge area might be a fun spot for NYE.

Cyrus- more upscale and elegant dining. Five course prix-fixe with wine pairing kind of place..Caviar and Champagne cart to set up the night.

There are many more, travelchow made good suggestions.

Since the French Laundry is an impossible reservation, We found Press to be a wonderful restaurant (Lamb Pate, yum) Former chef at the white House, Terra ia also a great restaurant. Love that time of year in Napa (off-season) For a really great wine tour, try Del Dotto (Call for reservations) a small boutique winery, barrel tasting in the caves. Some of the best Cabernat Franc I've had. They sell it in the futures, it is completely sold out by the time the barrels are ready. Also will hand bottle directly from the barrel if you want. Schramsberg is also a wonderful tour, especially if you love champagne. Mustards Grill for lunch. I can't remember the name of the bakery in Yountville down the street from The Villagio but it is a must. I'll post when I find it. Saw the chefs from French Laundry their in the am planning their menu. To good eating & drinking!
