My Lunch in Portland

Was in Portland Columbus Day to catch the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit at the art museum but not before lunch. Started with oysters at J's Oyster Bar. Great place high on the atmosphere scale and very good oysters. Had the oyster sampler which consisted of one of each: a baked oyster stuffed with lobster, an oyster rockefeller, an oyster with mornay sauce, and one on the half shell. The baked stuffed and the raw oyster hit the spot. Then I went on to Duck Fat. Great concept but the panninis were just okay. Fries were pretty good but not in my top tier.

All in all a fun day in Portland and would highly recommend J's.

  1. I don't like the panini's at Duckfat either - almost all of them end up being sweet. But I guess that's "Cuban". The fries are great!
