West Side Tri-Tip Butcher/Meat Market
Haven't had much luck finding quality, affordable Tri-Tip cut beef in local markets. Any suggestions? I know London Broil is very similar but its not cut as well for marinating/group meals.
I've heard Bob's mentioned a few times.

Actually it is usually trimmed and the internet Ad today says $2.99 trimmed, I do not know if I have ever gotten untrimmed from them.

re: Burger Boy
BurgerBoy you are correct. just went to to recycle bin. Front Page Hows USDA Choice Trimmed Tri tip Roast 2.99/lb limit 3 roasts. Page 3 USDA Choice Trimmed Tri Tip Steak 3.99/lb. Anyway try the ones at Vons when you get a chance just curious what you think. I like em allot. My son loves this meat. Great Sandwich too. Bollios from the mexican bakery tosted in the oven till crisp. Blend 1 can Chipolte Peppers in Adobo sauce in a blender mix a few spoons in with mayo till your liking spread evenly on both sides of Bollio. Assemble with Arugula. One heck of a sandwich either hot or cold..

re: Foodandwine
I have had Von's about a month ago, it was good also. I just love Hows, great people, great service and you know the meat is choice or prime. Von's has Ranchers reserve or whateve their house brand is, the last time I check with the FDA, they grade meat Prime, Choice, Select and all other! Angus means nothing Ranchers Reserve, Restaurant Cut and some of the other gimicks stores use is terrible! Long Live The Hughes Family! IMHO
