Need to replace large enameled cast iron

I have several pieces of LC which I love. My big enameled cast iron is an off-brand oval however. My mom picked it up at Tuesday Morning for me last year...I think the brand name is Well Equipped Kitchen.

I use it a lot as i cook for the family on Sundays...I think it's about 8 qts. Unfortunately it's started to chip quite a bit. So far all the chips are on the outside but I probably should think about replacing it before the inside starts chipping.

Want something in the 8-9 qt range. Round or oval fine. Is LC my only option in this size? I'd love an excuse to add another LC piece but dont' want to spend a lot of money right now...and would like to find something sooner than later.

Any ideas?

  1. There are actually a LOT of large capacity enameled cast iron cookware, and I've included a link to a great website with information/images of their selection. Since you do want soomething fairly large, would you consider a restaurant stock pot or similar item? Dig around your local restaurant supply store and you may find very nice and affordable cookware at great prices.

    1. They only go as big as seven qt.s but:

I've never seen one in person and only know they exist because of another post on here. If it's big enough, it's certainly fairly inexpensive, comparatively.

You might also check Staub sales on Amazon.

      1. I saw some large oval LCs at Costco recently for a pretty good price, you might want to check it out.

          1. There's a lot on and most qualify for free shipping. Registered there for my bridal shower and ended up with my very first LC, can't wait for the winter to start making some soups!
