Hi... I have an excess of buttermilk. I was just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to freeze it to use in baking later. Thanks

Do you suggest portioning out or can I leave it in the plastic bottles
I have portioned into ice cube trays so I can use small amounts easily. I've also measured out 1/2 or 1 cup portions and poured into baggies and then labelled.
I would be hesitant to leave in the plastic bottles due to liquids expanding....
