Tokyo Michelin star restaurants

One of our fellow Chowhound on the Japan board posted that the current fav., of foodies in Tokyo - Ryugin in Ropponghi is a Michelin Two Stars. However, I thought the guide won't be out till November?! If this is a leak, any one know more about the Tokyo result? Wonder how many three stars Tokyo has?!

  1. 8 three stars
    25 two stars
    117 one star

It's officially the city with the most stars now.

    1. I can't seem to find a complete list of the starred restaurants but I was in Tokyo when the results came out. Tokyo ended up with 191 stars, which makes it the most starred city in the world. Paris has 150. Two sushi places, Sukiyabashi Jiro and Sushi Mizutani both got 3 stars. The guide comes out in Tokyo on November 22nd. and in English in January.

      1. Pretty good guess on Ryugin!!
