Noah's Bagels - Pumpkins and Octoberfest

Tried a few of the Pumpkin items at Noah's

Pumpkin bagel - Standard Noah's bagel with a pumpkin tinge to it but little pumpkin flavor

Pumpkin smear - mainly relies on spicing for flavor. Sort of along the pumpkin cheesecake taste where the cream cheese is the dominant flavor. Not bad, not great. Pretty pumpkin flavor

Cold pumpkin drink - not really sure what this was some sort of pumpkin colored drink blended with ice, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with some sort of brown sweet stuff which I assume was supposed to be caramel.

It wasn't unpleasant, but it was odd and had nothing to do with pumpkin taste-wise other than the color. The dominant spice seems to be cardamom. The drizzled stuff had a butterscotch taste and actually the drink would have been much better without it.

Other pumpkin items: pumpkin muffins and pumpkin cookies.

There seems to be some sort of fall coffee that is supposed to be chestnut flavored.

Octoberfest to Noah's seems to mean "celebrate the bagel dog harvest". What is THAT supposed to mean?

Link is to my local Noah's. Place record has link to Noah's website.

  1. I still need to try their "Fall Coffee." I agree with you about the bagels - they should have been more pumpkinny. Check out my review of their bagels on my blog!
