Just a quick report...stayed at the Wine Country Inn. very fun.. not inexoensive but very nice.. great view if the vineyards from our room. had stayed there 17 years ago...with a different husband ..so was nice.. I think Ill keep this one...

Went to Martini House fri night.. Fabulous!! service was excellent.. We did the mushroom tasting/wine pairing. Three courses of mushrooms and then a non mushroom dessert.I think it was 90.00..well worth it.. I had a lamb chop that came with a roasted tomato stuffed with braised lamb.. All very good. I think mine could have used a spinach side dish.. just a bit too much lamb.. although it was only one tiny chop.. but all very rich..
We had done Artesa and Hess that day.. Both very nice..

Sat we did a 'sensory' tasting at Cakebread.. You sit down with differnt componenets and their wine and discuss the different aspects to the wine. That was so informative..it was a tour as well. Well worth the 20.00 each..

We also did Clos Pegase, which the tour was great with the caves..I did think it was getting a bit rundown however... Wonderful Spa experience at the Lavender Hill Spa...

then onto Cindys backstreet for dinner...very nice.. I had a filet with blue cheese topping and a cabernet sauce.. My husband mushroom tamales.. and then a warm pineapple tart for dessert..oh plus a avocado and papaya salad... very busy but good service...

Thismorning we had an appt for Schramsberg.. GREAT tour and then another sit down tasting and discussion.. Those are the BEST!!! Im not too much in for the standing around the bar.., I find these so much more informative..

All in all a great weekend of food and drink!!!! Happy to answer any questions....
