Chinatown dinner for two ladies

I have two ladies visiting San Francisco at the end of October. They plan to spend most of the day (Monday) shopping in Union Square. I'm thinking dinner in Chinatown would be a great tourist experience. Any recommendations?

  1. San Francisco Chinatown is known for good but not great Chinese food and the normal dinner recommendations are for places like R&G Lounge, Great Eastern and maybe Gold Mountain. However, if they're looking for a tourist, rather than a culinary experience, Empress of China on Grant Ave. with its rooftop views might be appropriate.

    1. Bill take then to Hunan's Home on Stockton.. make sure to order the Shrimp with candied walnuts
