Interesting/Fun Restaurants in Boston?

t1chic Oct 7, 2007 10:43 AM

Hi - My boyfriend is coming up for the last weekend in October and I am looking for places to take him to for our anniversary. I think we would prefer fun places to eat, rather than overly expensive and romantic, such as a restaurant with belly-dancing. Any good places you guys would recommend? Any ideas welcome (even romantic places, just not too expensive!)! Thanks!

CHers what is the name of that place?

Do you mean Red Fez in Charlestown?

Chris VR, that's Tangierino in Charlestown, and I liked the food there very much -- would recommend it. It is a romantic low-light place, though. Karoun in Newtonville also has a Saturday night belly dancing show and good Armenian slanted Middle Eastern food, not especially romantic in feel.

Red Fez is in the South End and in my experience has lousy food and grumpy service. No belly dancing, either.

Duh, of course it is Tangierino! Brain fart. But hey, we got the right name, so that's all good.
