Missing Avatar Labels

What happened to the little labels that would appear when you rolled over an avatar? They told you who it represented. Now you get a row of Mr. Knife and Fork and don't know which one represents who.

  1. Surprisingly, the rollover identifier is still there, we just can't see it because it's literally in the "background". What I mean is, is that the names only appear in the black margins to the left and right of the CH page we're presently reading.

For example, rollover the RIGHTMOST avatars of People Reading Me, and you'll see what's happening. Take a look ---> http://www.chow.com/profile/11362

That doesn't work for me. I miss the roll-over identifier too.

Wow, nothing at all ? Try the link I've supplied above. You need someone with a big fan base ... That's why I used Brian S's profile. The avatar identifiers are being displayed **behind this page** we're presently reading.

I did try your lnk to Brian S. Also, there are no black margins. Not in the oatmeal theme nor the red theme which is what I use.

          1. re: Gio

I did see, fwiw - lurking to the very right "under" the red ....

            1. re: MMRuth

Yup, under the red -- HIDING in a sense. They need to be brought into the foreground ... hopefully an easy fix.

Gio, I think you don't have any black margins because the page usage is probably optimized for you. I use IE6 and am presently on a LCD. You might be on a CRT possibly using Firefox? Trust us who have margins, the avatars are being displayed in the background an need to be brought forward and displayed in the foreground. Hopefully the CH team is informed of this mishap and is working to correct it.

Good Grief!! I must be blind. I'm even wearing my glasses.... this is gonna drive me craaazzzeee....

                1. re: Gio

Don't let it drive you crazy - you can't actually seen anything useful!

                2. re: Cheese Boy

Why would page usage be optimized for Firefox? Don't most hounds use some flavor of IE?

        2. re: Cheese Boy

I can identify the rightmost avatar, but it's not shown in entirety. I can't see anything of an avatar after the third one in from the right.
