Which restaurants offer a Thanksgiving buffet?

I've been tasked with finding a good restaurant (not nec. in Boston proper, 'burbs are good) for Thanksgiving dinner, preferably some kind of buffet. Suggestions?? We'll have a few older people in our group as well as picky eaters....thanks!

Two places that I have experienced in the past.
Plimoth Plantation and the Oceanview in Gloucester. Hope this helps.

I don't know if it's a buffet (I'm guessing it's not), but my guess is that Henrietta's Table will serve an excellent traditional Thanksgiving meal.

The Wachusett Village Inn on Rt 2 in Westminster does a buffet. The food was good and varied. You can reserve a private room/suite for your party. Last year we hada two room suite. Book for an early seating - less hectic at the buffet. - The room is yours for 4 hours (I think)

Which side of the 'burbs? Local can be better, as it seems everyone who isn't cooking is driving that day...

Also, what kind of atmosphere and price range are you looking for?

Again, sorry not a buffett but we were at Arrows in Ogunquit Me this weekend and the owner told us their new restaurant in Burlington will open Nov. 1 and will be serving Thanksgiving dinner. Will be less high end than Arrows, serving lunch and dinner. Has a greenhouse attached where they will grow their own produce and an open kitchen. Could be an interesting Thanksgiving dinner.

I know that Sel de la Terre has a Thanksgiving meal (doubt that it's a buffet). Never experienced it myself - seem to remember some posts from people who were pleased in the past.

You might try the hotels in the area. I know in the past some did buffets.

No personal experience, but when we were at the Paddock in Somerville a year ago (!) the waitress was talking about the Thanksgiving dinner. Sounded from her description that it's pretty much the traditional standbys--winter squash cooked from scratch, for example. These are pretty easy dishes and the cooks there are good. Atmosphere might not be as nice as you'd like--it's an old-style neighborhood bar/restaurant. Can't imagine it would be expensive.

I dont believe there is one. I have been to at least 10 different ones around massachusetts and have yet to find one that wasnt overpriced and overcrowded. And have yet to find one with food as good as a homecooked Thanksgiving.

Emerson by the Sea in Rockport did a nice, traditional Thanksgiving dinner buffet-style, if I recall correctly. Very nice room, beautiful ocean views.
