Hello,

Can anyone recommend some Indian grocery stores in the DC/NoVA area? I am looking for canned alponso mango pulp, or any kind of mango pulp for that matter. Thanks for your help!

Patel Brothers in Langley Park (on University Blvd. just east of Riggs Rd). Call them before driving there to make sure they have it (301) 422-1555. I think they are closed Mondays. I have seen some sort of canned mango at Spanish groceries.

A-1 Grocery, right across from McDonald's on Lee Hwy. just west of Glebe Rd. intersection.

I got advice from Monica Bhide (author of Everything Indian Cooking) that All World Grocer on Maple Ave. in Vienna is the place to go. I'm delving in to her cookbook and am planning to make a trip there soon. I'll let you all know how I do!

Delhi Bazzar on Van Dorn Street, next to Safeway in Alexandria.
Pretty large store with good selection and helpful people.
