"B" restaurant -great breakfast/brunch

TdotFoodKing Oct 6, 2007 07:22 AM

B - thats the name. Dundas West at Roncesvaille. The B stands for brunch. A great place for breakfast or lunch. Its closed for dinner. Im not sure why, but its hard to find simple bacon and eggs, but "B" manages to make them perfect. Not your greasy spoon style. Excellent Eggs Benny in about 3 or 4 styles. I first tried it for lunch, and had the burger. Awesome, totally homemade and super fresh.

When I first started going it was dead, but its seems to have caught on. So, try and go through the week, or early on the weekends, after 10:30, 11 its packed.

One negative...their regular coffee isn't very tasty, but caps and lattes are good.

Do you have a website or the exact address? It's difficult to Google due to the name...

Coincidentally there's a little cafe called B (Barista) on Queen east just a smidge east of Church that's really nice too for sandwiches, coffee, etc.

It is right at the intersection where roncesvalles and dundas become dundas west (south of the dundas west subway station and south of bloor)

There is a Starbucks right across the street. Corner of Dundas W. at Roncesvaille on North side.

Sadly, it now appears that "B" has closed, with paper in its windows. I may be incorrect, but the place looked cleared out a few weeks ago.

Too bad - the service was always very pleasant there, and it was a nice place to go.

That's very surprising. It's always really busy. Perhaps it's a renovation instead?

It's definitely closed. Owners have moved on in pursuit of something else...that's the word about Ronccy.

Well that sucks. It was a good spot. Hopefully something else decent goes in there.
