Where can I take the management team for dinner?

Every year, I'm faced with the daunting task of finding a place to take the 11 guys on our site management team out for dinner/entertainment in the central Connecticut area for a holiday celebration. For the past 2 years, we've gone to Braza in Hartford. Decent food and entertaining. But now it's time for a change. I thought of The Melting Pot (a fondue restaurant chain), but the only one in CT is too far to drive from New Britain. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can take them for good food with an entertaining environment?

  1. Max Downtown is a good restaurant for business entertaining.

    1. Black Eyed Sallys if you want casual southern comfort food and great jazz.
The comedy club on Main St. (think it is in the old Korvettes building). The steaks are good and some of the acts have been excellent.
First and Last in Middletown...the Wesleyan crowd usually keeps things hopping and the food is consistently good.

A comedy club sounds like a good idea! So does one of the Maxs. I'll take a survey to see where the folks would prefer to go. Thanks!

      2. Along with Max's downtown, the Oyster Bar on Farmington Ave in the middle of West Hartford is Max's "sister" restaurant, but less formal. Yummy food. The shellfish tower is a lovely thing to share and the table treats include these horseradish carrots that I still think about now that I am no longer in the area...Not inexpensive, but reliable and good...Also - over "the mountain" in Avon is the other "sister" Max-a-Mia - delicious italian food, in upscale casual setting.
