foodie kids in boston

A friend and I are heading up to the New England Aquarium on Monday with our kids...Ages ranging from 6yo - 16yo. All enjoy eating real food and my friend and I would like to be able to enjoy a glass of wine at lunch - any real "great" places in mind?? Appreciate the input...jlo

  1. Sel de la Terre is right at the aquarium and is quite good. If it's nice out, you can eat outside and watch the tourists go past.

I second Sel de la Terre-- good French food and it is very close to the aquarium.

Triple the opinion. Sel de la Terre is right next door, very good, excellent wine list...

I suspect your "foodie kids" might go crazy over the rosemary fries, too.

      2. Sel De La Terre is certainly a great rec and sounds like what you're looking for...but for another option: a classic Boston experience, perhaps a bit more down-scalet, you could walk over to Pizzeria Regina in The North End. Search this board for lots of posts but the bottom line is it's the best pie in Boston --must be the North End location though. Not sure that you'd get a "nice" glass of wine there --if they have wine it's just jug/table wine, nothing special, but they've got Sam Adams on tap which just completes the authentic Boston experience. It's probably a 15 minute walk from the Aquarium with kids.
