When I lived in San Francisco years ago, I would buy the BEST Garlic Sausage from the Viglizzo meat counter in Tower Market on Portola (NOT the precooked type/NOT prepackaged). I have never been able to find anything comparable since. I called the market, and they don’t seem to carry this sausage anymore nor was anyone able to help identify it. Does anyone know who made this delicious Garlic Sausage, or where I can find it?

  1. Viglizzo made (and still makes as part of Mollie Stone) most of its sausage. You might try the version at Lucca as a fitting replacement.
