PHX: Need help quick with Sun City West - Surprise

Can anyone make any suggestions for great chow food - any price point, any style - in the Sun City West or Surprise area?

I'm heading there tonight and would like some advice. Thanks to any and all who can help!

What's the best Chinese food near there? Don't know the area. Got a question today. Would have sent them to Silver Dragon as they'll travel but...

Line Thai is great; Cocono's as well; Beyond the Grape is good for wine and noshes.

Yorman's Bistro is opening this weekend -- he's a southern guy by way of Maui. It will have live jazz Thurs-Sat. It's upscale southern food, billed as a supper club. It's not in Places yet, but they have a web page.

edited to link Seftel's blog entry on Yorman's -- http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog...

I'll have to try Cocono's some time... I'm completely addicted to Hula Hawaiian BBQ, in what sounds like the same shopping center.

There is a Hula Hawaiian bbq at:

          8110 W Union Hills Dr Ste 208
          Glendale, AZ 85308
          (623) 825-1928

This one would be closer to Sun City West/Surprise area as an FYI.

Places screwed that up... for some reason it thinks both of the different locations are the same one :-\

Cocono's is actually upscale Mexican food. It's Moises Treves' place at 83rd and Union Hills. It used to say that in the name, but they shortened, thankfully.

The cochinita pibil is great, as well as the snapper Veracruz. The food and bar have evened out a lot since Seftel's review, but oddly, sometimes they have a strolling stuffed chile pepper mascot-thing walking around in and outside of the restaurant. So sometimes they seem to be going for chain-accessible-family-style, and sometimes they seem to be going for bistro-supper-club. I wish they'd settle on one or the other.

I have never been, but have Line Thai in Sun City on my list based on Seth's review.

There's a Dillion's out that way if you like BBQ.
