We are from the Boston area and will be visiting the wineries in Sonoma County later this month and wanted to go back to Orsi's in Santa Rosa, but sadly it is closed. Any suggestions for good food that isn't expensive?

Can you be more specific? There are many choices here, considering the area's size...Here's a post to get you started. http://www.chowhound.com/topics/433602

We love chinese and Japanese food, also Vietnamese and Thai, and plan to eat around Noriega where there is a big Chinese and Japanese neighborhood while we are in San Francisco. I think that restaurants in towns without a big Asian population will have good, authentic, food. We are not interested in steaks, haamburgers, pizza's or Mexican. We love good food, but can't afford expensive restaurants, which makes it tough to find places that cook better than we do, or that have ingredients that we cannot easily find.
      Any suggestions?

If Orsi's was your price benchmark, you won't have trouble finding good choices that are at the same price point. Check for posts on Cafe St. Rose, for example.

Is Orsi's closed for good? I never got there (I'm not in Santa Rosa very often) but it was always "on my list", including because of the food pedigree/heritage of that family name.

No idea, however, the phone number is disconnected.
