King Taco

I'm heading out to go do my jury duty. I noticed yesterday that there is a king taco near the courthouse. I've never been any recs?

  1. Carne asada taco with salsa roja. The salsa is hot, but very smokey, and definitely not to be missed. The pastor also is good, but the asada is their speciality.

i prefer the al pastor actually over.

1 al pastor sopes, 1 carne asada sopes, 2 al pastor tacos

Agreed! The Carne asada is so tasty and that salsa roja is amazing!

Second the sopes suggestion, which are harder to come by (esp. on taco trucks) -- but tacos are good too. I like the carne asada & al pastor best.

          2. Al pastor definitely, its always fresh from turnover unlike many taquerias. I'm not a big fan of their carne asada since it tastes almost boiled vs. char-grilled, but its OK. I like their tangy green salsa better than the red.

            1. 2 al pastor tacos and 2 al pastor sopes with the green salsa. The green salsa is less spicy, but still flavorful. You might be burping up al pastor all afternoon, however.

I went for lunch I got 3 carne asadas and a cabeza sopes. The tacos were good as was the sopes, the red salsa is awesome. I also ordered some chips with a side of guacamole. The chips were horrendous. They were americanized bagged chips just nasty. I have to go back for jury duty tomorrow and tuesday. Tomorrow I am trying Mr. Sippees. Any recs for tuesday?

Yeah, as mentioned above, try al pastor w/salsa VERDE. The roja is great but the verde is more complex, nuanced, and nearly as hot. Also, the tamales aren't bad.
