Anyone tried the Cuban Espresso sauce? (Gourmet, Oct issue)

This recipe was in the "readers' requests" column - I haven't put the sauce on anything yet (will put it on steaks at dinner) but the sauce by itself right now is SO DELICIOUS!

I'm having trouble not drinking a little cup of it for lunch.... coffee + spice + sweet - so complex, really great.

    Why oh why is the recipe not available on line? I have the Sept issue only, had a look on the stands today at the Oct issue to look this recipe, it seems really good!

      something about your post made me seek out my copy and i had everything i needed in the kitchen. made it last night, to serve on roasted pork tenderloin. it WAS tasty. thanks for the inspiration. how did yours work on the beef?

        It was SO GOOD! I would have added a touch less butter though because I made the sauce ahead and the fat separated out a bit. But it went really well with the spice rub on the beef.
        Great flavor to both.
