I drove by the closed Anthem's space in the North End this morning and saw a sign for a new concept. Due to a truck obscuring my view, I could not see all of the signage (I saw "Johhny's" but nothing else.) Anybody have the 411?

According to the Charlestown community newspaper, the old Copia space "will become home to a French bistro in early 2008." The paper says Loic Le Carrec of Petit Robert is teaming with Jacky Robert (Maison Robert fame) and Paul Licari of Locke-Ober on the space, which will seat 180, and feature dishes like pot-au-feu, duck confit, a pastry bar and possibly and outdoor oyster bar.

No defitnitive word on the branding, but the report indicates it will be another Petit Robert.

Update: The Herald apparently wrote about Petit Robert as well, confirming that it will be a Petit Robert outpost.

On a closing note, Nuvo in Roslindale is no longer which is kind of sad. That space was the first nicer restaurant to come into that part of town, can't remember the name but it was associated with Icarus.

And when I walked thru Kenmore Sq. this morning, Truly Borg's was closed. Usually there's a sign out front and you can see lights on. Anyone know what's up?

No info on that one, though based on my one experience there I'm not very sad.

However, I noticed last night as I was heading underground on an inbound B Line car that the Campo de Fiori site on the BU campus (Comm. Ave. just outside Kenmore Square) has signs indicating that it's becoming a Z Square branch (which, according to their website, is scheduled to open in November.)

Zagat Buzz describes Jonnies (which I guess shows that, in the spirit of dropping R's and putting them where they don't belong, we're now doing the same thing with apostrophes in restaurant names) as a "new sports-entertainment concept set to open later this fall with a focus on seasonal New England dishes".

The Herald reported about PRB taking over the old Copia space last week, as did a local Hound here: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/445808
