I'd skip Capriccio. Nirvana Grill may be what you're looking for.

Best recs for MV proper would be Oceans 33, Capriccio (italian), and Fishmarket on the Lake. If you could make a short but interesting drive, I highly recommend Trabuco Oaks Steakhouse...food and atmosphere would make it an enjoyable dinner for a small group.

If the OP and his business group ends up at Trabuco Oaks, and they happen to be wearing business attire which includes neckties, to wear old ties that they don't want to have in their closets any longer. ;-D

I had dinner at Oceans 33 in the Shops at Mission Viejo last year and really liked what I ordered. I believe it was some sort of cannelloni.

I would also recommend Oceans 33. Who knew a mall restaurant would be so enjoyable? Stay far from the area where the live entertainment performs so you have a better conversation.

I'll throw in my .02 for Oceans 33. Classy place. Try the Oak fired Ribeye and Bleu Cheese/bacon macaroni.

Any particular kind of food or budget issues? Mission Viejo proper, or adjacent cities OK? Lots of people, or small and intimate?

Probably less exotic maybe american/steakhouse but no budget issues. Mission Viejo or Laguna Hills if possible. Pretty small group. Thanks

Consider O'Neill's Bar & Grill... just what you are seeking.

They have no real website-- save for the golf course site (arroyotrabuco.com). Bute here is the link to thier Open Table profile
