So far, I've tried the garlic soup w/mussels; onion soup; steak frites; and cubano. All very good --I thought the garlic soup and steak frites were standouts. Looking to try a few more things (possibly the burger, if hounds say it's worthy), so all recs appreciated. Thanks. When I had it, it was quite tender and smothered in a really yummy carmelized onion/mustard/cream sauce. I'm going on Friday with a group of friends and am contemplating trying the burger so I'll post if I do. Other than the bar steak, I've had one of their pizzas, which I thought was just OK. I've also had an app that I liked which was a blue cheese/potato tart thing, the steak tartare was good though I'm still partial to the version at Butcher Shop. We were there last night and were tempted to try it..went with the grilled calamari app and bar steak instead. Both excellent choices --thanks lissy and heathermb for the bar steak rec --it truly was delicious and the sauce divine. Probably a good thing to split though, as it was very rich (not that that's a bad thing!) ;) Sat at a table for the first time and had good service. Got some of that piping hot bread which really hit the spot too. All in all, another good experience there, i'm liking it more and more. They put a green pesto like sauce on it and in place of a bun was a very crunch pita. Not what I was expecting (since they didnt identify it that way on the menu). Even beyond my expectations though, I just didnt think it worked.
